ELETTARIO CARAMOMUM

It is Feminine or passive in nature, belongs to the Element of water, and is rules by Venus. Cardamon is sacred to the Goddess Erzulie. Its magical powers govern lust and love.

I did not find much history on this herb, but it seems to be one of those herbs that most cultures found some kind of use for. It is an very expensive herb because it is hard to grow. It is a jungle plant and needs alot of moisture and partial shade.

The Ground seeds are added to warmed wine for a lust potion. They are also put into apple pies and turnovers for a wonderful love pastry and added to love incense. Its smell is good for clearing the conscious mind. Use it in potpourris or oils for this purpose.

Cardamon is slightly gingerish, leaving a medicinal aftertaste. It is used to flavor Coffee in the Middle East, for hot punches, spiced wines, marinades, pickling liquids, coffee also bread, pastries, cookies, fruit salads, Mexican, Spanish, or East Indian dishes. Add ground seeds to orange marinade about 1/4 teaspoon per pint or make a dressing for a fruit salad by mixing 1/2 cup of plain or vanilla yogurt, 1-2 teaspoons of honey, 1/8 teaspoon of ground cardamon and 2 teaspoons of shredded coconut.

The herbal properties of Cardamon are as a appetizer (excites the appetite), carminative (help expel gas), stimulant (quickens the activity of the body), and stomachic (strengthens, stimulates or tones the stomach). Cardamon seeds are useful for gas, but they usually used as a helper with other remedies and used as a flavoring in other medicines.
