Astrology - interesting topic. Some people swear by it, others think it is bunk. Will it tell the future? No, I don't think so.. but like the signposts on the road it will help you navigate thru life. If you use it for self growth and understanding yourself it works really well.

There is a lot more to astrology than your daily horoscope. Your natal chart shows the traits you were born with. Are they strengths or weakness? All depends on how they are used. The fixed signs are known for being stubborn and are hard to change, is this good? not always sometimes you need to be like the Oak and stand firm, at others you need to be like a Willow and learn to bend. Pisces is a water sign and considered the sign of the dreamer, and mystic - Virgo is an earth sign and considered practical and very analytical. They are two sides of a balanced whole. Being a dreamer or a mystic can be great, but if your feet on not firmly planted on the ground (in Virgo) you will "have your head in the clouds". But if your head is planted on the ground along with your feet, you will have no imagination. You learn your balance point thru your opposite sign.

People ask "what is my purpose in life" or "why was I born". If you study your natal chart, it will show you the areas in life you are learning lessons and growing in. It will give you better understanding of why you are here.. not a total one.. just better. They houses that have planets or aspects in them show you where the focus of these lessons are and if you work with them instead of fighting them you life can be happier.

I will use my chart for an example. I am a 8th house Leo, with a lot of things going on there, with a Cancer moon and Sag/Cap rising sign. Now what does all that mean? Well the 8th house is the house of the hidden, occult, death, rebirth.. it is the house of Scorpio. Now Leo is the sign of the Sun, leaders hip, the heart, the warrior, passion, the key saying for Leo is "I Will". Cancer is the sign of the of the home, the mother, emotions, the female aspect It's Key saying is "I Feel". and it is in the house of relationships and balance. The Rising sign and first house is You, your personality, the way you appear to others. Sag is a sign of learning and knowledge, it's key saying is " I understand " And the Cap is the sign of Tradition, man, and it is Key saying is "I use or I utilize"

Now what does all this mean? seems like a lot of conflicts and opposites? Yes at first glance. But the Sag/Cap pushes me to understand people and life and then do something with it. Leo pushes me to lead, be liked and help people , it acts in the hidden areas of life, the occult, the spiritual. And cancer pushes me to stay home, but be mother and help my children and those I care for to grow and be the best they can be. Now what do I do with all this? Well you are here reading it. I study, I seek to understand and share what I know, The Internet allows me to do it from home and yet I can talk to a lot of people and help them, I hope, with understanding themselves better. I can be friend, teacher, mother, sister to a lot of people and yet keep the peace and harmony of my home intact. I have areas of life I work easily in and others that seem an uphill battle. But life doesn't surprise me as much and when it does it is easier to recover and go on.

But this isn't an overnight thing, it takes time to understand astrology and yourself and how they work together. I personally believe that Astrology is the ancient form of psychology. It describes 12 or 13 (depending if you are using solar or lunar astrology) traits than humans have. They similar to modern archetypes. So if you choose to study astrology you really should study some basic psychology also.
